This was my daughter's third summer with Mrs. Stephanie and this year she is 4 yrs. old and swimming! I am so excited for the break-thru progress that happened this week at swim lessons!

Wonderful instructor

This has been our 3rd year in a row to attend swim lessons with Mrs. Stephanie and my children love her. She is very patient, laid back, safe, and caring! It's been baby steps in seeing progress, due to ages of my children, until this year; my daughter has made leaps and bounds. Thank you Stephanie!

Adult Lessons??

Jun 24, 2016 by Cheryl Hughes

Some people say "you can't teach an old dog new tricks", but I say you are never too old to learn. I am 58 years old and just finished my first week of swimming lessons ever! I could manipulate myself in the water before, float, backstroke, etc. but I didn't know correct breathing techniques or form. Thanks to Stephanie's patience with an "old dog", I can now swim freestyle and have the basics down for breaststroke and treading water. I learned many things I didnt know before and actually dove into the pool headfirst from a kneeling position! I encourage every adult who has never had lessons to sign up for an adult class!! I had a lot of people ask why I was taking lessons, and I just held my head up proudly and said because I want to swim correctly to avoid fatigue and know what to do if I ever need to help someone in trouble! Stephanie is such an encourager!! I am so glad I signed up!!

Stephanie has been a family friend since I was child, so there was no doubt in my mind where my children would go to learn to swim. I have a 6 year old and a 3 1/2 year old and they have been swimming with Stephanie since they were both babies. My 6 year old can swim confidently on his own, with our supervision, and our 3 1/2 year old has no fear of the water. Stephanie is a great teacher. You can really see her passion for teaching others all things related to water safety. She is an AMAZING Christian woman, and I look forward to see what she teaches my babies next year!

Awesome!

My Aunt had taken water aerobics with Stephanie and had great things to say and highly recommended her to me. My almost 2 year old (22 months) son has loved his first week of swim lessons! Stephanie, Cassie, and Leigha are so nice and so attentive and supportive of all the children and their parents. My son is already asking to go swim with them each day. He is learning survival skills and to be comfortable in the water. I am very pleased and would recommend Steph\'s Swimmers to everyone!

Wonderful experiences!

We have been using Stephanie for 5 years. In that time, she has taught lessons to 7 of my children. We always have a wonderful experience. She is kind and caring, taking into account each child's needs. We have a son with Autism and she is mindful of his needs as well. We love Mrs. Stephanie!

Steph's Swimmers : Saving Lives One Lesson at a Time!

Jun 13, 2016 by Cindy Rutledge

My four kids have been taking swimming lessons from Stephanie since Summer 2009. Three of the four are now older but my youngest still takes lessons from her every year. Stephanie is the epitome of what every swim instructor should be. Safety is her number one priority when teaching swimming lessons. She is enthusiastic, caring, patient, and pays close attention to detail. Your kids not only learn how to overcome fear of the water but they also learn how to save themselves by learning the various floating techniques, they learn many different types of swimming strokes, they learn breathing control, and they learn proper form while swimming which is critical in order to swim safely. Stephanie evaluates the skill level of each child/teen/adult and tailors the lesson accordingly. She is very gifted in the area of working with special needs children as well. I’ve witnessed the patience, compassion, and love she pours out upon each and every child. What a relief it is to know that my children can not only swim but have been taught how to save themselves as well. Stephanie has a very special gift from God that she shares so unselfishly with others. I encourage anyone who needs to learn how to swim or brush up on their swimming skills to seek lessons from Steph’s Swimmers. You’re never too old to learn. As Stephanie points out, you can manipulate in the water but it does not mean you know how to swim. Don’t let your buoyancy deceive you into thinking you can swim. Swimming is a lifesaving sport and there is always room for growth and improvement.

Amazing

Mrs Stephanie is so wonderful with kids of all ages and skill levels. My daughter looks forward to taking lessons from her every year. She is now confident in the water and can easily swim across the pool. When we started lessons at the age of two, our main concern was if she would know what to do if she fell in. My in-laws have a pool with no steps on the shallow end and she could not touch. Right away she learned the fun way to "monkey walk" around the edge of the pool and how to reach for the side or float. I knew she would be ok if she happened to get past the pool gate and fall in. Mrs Stephanie's love of Christ is evident in all she does and she has a testimony that is beautiful. Thank you Mrs Stephanie! We are already looking forward to next year!

The day my daughter started lessons she was terrified to even get her face wet, much less go under water or jump in! On her last day she actually ASKED to jump off the diving board and did it! I was shocked! She also enjoyed a tea party with Mrs. Stephanie UNDERWATER!
Not only did Stephanie build my daughters confidence up enough to make such big strides in only one week, she eased my fears of what could happen in the event that my child ever fell in water; all the while engaging her and making lessons and safety FUN!
As we left after our last lesson my new swimmer noticed a cow in the pasture taking a dip in the water to cool off. She said "Oh look Mrs. Stephanie must have taught her cows how to swim too!" So there you have it folks if Mrs. Stephanie can teach her cows to swim, she can teach anyone!!

After a very uplifting week of lessons with Mrs. Steph, my 4 year old daughter has confidence and overcame a daunting fear of water! Steph and her staff gave her a new found confidence and bravery in the water and she is now excited and confident! She was fearful even in the bath tub and their guidance and reassurance have lead her to no longer fear getting wet! They are very patient, up-lifting, knowledgeable and so very encouraging in their teaching and guidance! We appreciate Mrs. Steph and her staff more than they could imagine! THANK YOU!!! Can't wait for next year!
